FINCAD Opens Sales & Client Services Centre in Europe
Vancouver, B.C., Canada, November 29, 2007 – FINCAD a global leader in financial analytics software and services opened its Sales & Client Services Centre in Ireland continuing its international expansion and commitment to customer service.
FINCAD plans to create up to 30 professional jobs in Ireland. The opening of the centre was attended by FINCAD Chairman, Frank Barr, co-founder and CEO, Bob Park, Ireland’s Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment, Michael Ahern, and the Canadian Ambassador to Ireland, Mr. Patrick G. Binns.
With the fall-out from the US sub-prime mortgage crisis beginning to spread across the Atlantic, FINCAD's financial analytics will enable European organizations to better value and assess the financial risk of their financial derivatives.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Bob Park said, “We are committed to making FINCAD a truly global enterprise and we now have the opportunity to expand our presence in Europe from our headquarters in Dublin. Before making this investment we looked at a number of countries. We chose Ireland because the people are well-educated and experienced. In addition, Ireland has attracted people with multilingual capabilities. Ireland has a stable Government and economy, and is very friendly to businesses setting up there. The beneficial tax regime was an added bonus.”
