- Information flow to the Board

“The key governance innovation that led to recognition as one of the top contenders for a 2007 Award was the implementation by FinancialCAD of governance standards of a publicly traded company. Few privately held corporations of this size have innovated by adopting these high standards of corporate governance and incorporated them into their business success formula with the clear seriousness of purpose that the applicant displayed.” said Jean-Pierre Boisclair, Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, The Conference Board of Canada.
“We’re extraordinarily pleased and honored by the recognition of our Governance efforts by The Conference Board of Canada and Spencer Stuart,” said FINCAD president and CEO, Bob Park. “As a company, a board and a collection of individuals serving the global financial services industry with our products, we recognize that good governance is a keystone to corporate credibility. We intend to continue to excel in this area with the support of our Board. Our accelerated growth is only enhanced by such focused management.”
FINCAD was represented at the award ceremony by Frank Barr, the company’s chairman and Nancy Petersen, the corporate secretary and CFO.
Other finalists in the private sector category with FINCAD were Royal Bank of Canada, Talisman Energy Inc. and Nexen Inc.
