FINCAD Recognized as One of the Best Workplaces in Canada
Vancouver, BC - May 14, 2009
FINCAD, a leading global provider of financial analytics, announced that it has been recognized as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada. The company ranked as number thirty on the 2009 list of the 75 Best Workplaces in Canada. The 2009 list was compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute and published in the Globe and Mail.
FINCAD was recognized for its direct investment in employees by providing regular training and career development opportunities as well as supporting flexible work modes to enhance work-life balance. FINCAD also acknowledges the contributions of its employees by providing team awards and celebratory events for exceptional team performance. Such recognition contributes to team cohesiveness, pride and camaraderie.
The company is also dedicated to giving back to the community through its FINCAD HOPE (Helping Other People Effectively) Committee, made up of employee volunteers, who research non-profit organizations for suitable volunteer and fund raising opportunities and match the need with talents within the company. To allow employees time to volunteer, FINCAD provides two paid days off per year to all employees.
"Being recognized as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada is a testament to our amazing team and our dedication to providing a fulfilling, safe and respectful work environment, while fostering FINCAD's culture of collaboration and innovation," said Bob Park, President and CEO, FINCAD. "I truly appreciate all of the FINCAD employees for contributing to our efforts to create a great workplace."
This list of "Best Workplaces in Canada" is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a 57-statement survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about their organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization's culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures.
