FINCAD Hosts Webinar to Address Yield Curve Anomalies Caused by Volatile Market Data

Vancouver, BC - April 21, 2009

FINCAD, the industry standard for financial analytics, is hosting a live webinar on April 30 at 11:00 AM EST/ 8:00 AM PST / 3:00 PM GMT to address recent yield curve anomalies caused by volatile market data.

Properly-constructed yield curves are essential for accurate derivatives valuation. Recently, valuations of interest-rate derivatives have been affected by the unprecedented volatility in some markets. Yield curves constructed using illiquid instruments have caused unexpected results, leading to anomalies between counterparty and in-house valuations.

The FINCAD webinar is titled "Taming the Yield Curve - Build Better Curves Using Today's Market Data", and will feature analysts from FINCAD's Professional Services team. It will explain the cause of these anomalies and demonstrate solutions for obtaining more accurate values. A brief overview of curve construction will be followed by an explanation of the challenges associated with today's yield curves and a demonstration of a FINCAD solution.

If the accuracy of your derivative valuations is important to your business, or if you are getting unexpected results from your current derivative valuation tools this is a session you should attend.
