FINCAD Releases New Version of Financial Analytics Software

Vancouver, BC, CANADA , November 6, 2006 - FINCAD, the industry standard for financial analytics, today announced the release of version 10 of the company’s leading financial analytics software. The software update contains significant enhancements to its credit derivatives, options, interest rate and fixed income functionality.

According to Anthony Wooten, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at FINCAD, “The new software release addresses the market need for new and more accurate means to independently value and assess the risk of financial securities and derivatives. Users of v10 will experience newer valuation models, faster calculations, and an improved user interface."

Mirko Vanous, Product Manager of FINCAD stated that, “FINCAD’s version 10 superiority lies not only in improved analytics features, but also the ability to use and integrate those analytics with wizards, workbooks, and examples. For instance, the improved ‘Function Finder’ allows a user to search the database of functions, workbooks and documentation, and paste examples of functions as a portfolio to build spreadsheets faster."

The market for FINCAD products continues to expand. Much of the growth is within the credit derivatives arena which grew by 106 percent in 2005 with an overall notional amount of $17.1 trillion. The British Bankers’ Association expects the market to reach $33 trillion by the end of 2006. Additionally, greater shareholder scrutiny and regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley are forcing organizations to be more transparent and accountable in terms of derivative valuations and assumptions.

The enhancements contained in v10 are important for FINCAD clients and other derivatives users in order to keep pace with market changes in not only credit derivatives, but also options, interest rate, and fixed income offerings.

FINCAD services the needs of financial analysts, auditors, portfolio and risk managers, and treasury analysts within banks, corporate treasuries and asset management firms. Custom application development and software developers are supported by FINCAD with a Software Development Kit (SDK). Users who wish to upgrade their existing FINCAD products should contact their FINCAD representative directly or request a trial of the new software release.
