FINCAD’s 2017 Women in Finance Scholarship Program Now Accepting Applications
Vancouver, BC - April 19, 2017 - FINCAD, the leading provider of sophisticated valuation and risk analytics for multi-asset derivative and fixed income portfolios, is pleased to announce its 2017 Women in Finance Scholarship is now accepting applications. The goal of the program is to encourage outstanding women in the field of finance, particularly those pursuing careers in the capital markets and/or financial risk management.
Keenly aware that Finance has traditionally been a male-dominated field, FINCAD CEO and President, Bob Park, established the scholarship program in 2014. “While more women are entering the capital markets than in the past, this trend is not as rapid as it should be,” commented Bob. “Through offering this scholarship, we hope to help level out this imbalance by providing a qualified woman with a vote of confidence and an opportunity to cultivate her skills and knowledge in this exciting field,” commented Bob.
Now in its third year, the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Program offers an award of US$10,000 to support graduate-level studies to one recipient each calendar year. This program is open to women of any age and citizenship who are studying Finance in a graduate-level program at an accredited institution. Complete application packages are due on or before June 30, 2017 and further details are available at www.fincad.com/womeninfinance.
