FINCAD supports community enrichment, education, and industry-oriented events where FINCAD team members are qualified and able to make a difference.
FINCAD HOPE (Helping Other People Effectively) is a volunteer, employee-led initiative, created with the purpose of giving back to our local and global community by balancing philanthropic, charitable, and volunteer efforts for the purpose of maximizing long-term benefits while also addressing short-term needs. The name of the program reflects the company’s giving philosophy.
- Volunteering: FINCAD team members receive paid days off to perform volunteer work. FINCAD HOPE researches organizations for suitable projects then matches the need with talents inside the company to recruit appropriate volunteers.
- Fundraising & Charitable donations: Regular fundraising efforts for the Surrey Food Bank, the Surrey Christmas Bureau, the Salvation Army’s Backpack + School Supply Drive, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Surrey Memorial CAPSU, international disaster relief and more.
- Industry Programs
FINCAD also supports higher standards of professionalism in financial management by providing the Western Canadian site and proctors for the annual Financial Risk Manager certification examination administered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals, a leading global association of more than 40,000 financial risk management professionals.
We are also active members of the BC Technology Industry Association and the Fraser Valley Technology Network and participate regularly in events and initiatives sponsored by other technology industry and financial industry groups.
