Account Manager

What we will ask of you:

FINCAD is looking for individuals who are driven to be the very best in their field. FINCAD is provides a positive environment that is committed to supporting ambitious sales professionals that want to co-invest in developing themselves to their full potential.

As part of the EMEA Direct Sales team, the Account Manager will be responsible to:

  • Develop, nurture and maintain strong relationships with our clients to maximize both retention and penetration sales into assigned territory.
  • Execute on FINCAD SSA sales process, including identifying new opportunities at assigned accounts, with existing or new products and services, developing the opportunities, negotiating contracts and closing sales.
  • Negotiate organizational hierarchies to engage with multiple decision makers and influencers, including establishing strong relationships to ensure relationships with key internal buyers are developed and maintained.
  • Have written Account Plans with annual objectives and tactics for assigned accounts with the largest potential for sales in any given half-year.
  • Assist in design and development of marketing campaigns to assigned territory.
  • Qualify and understand prospects'/clients' core business strategy and find ways for FINCAD to support and deliver that strategy through superior customer experience and enabling technologies.
  • Develop and meet accurate quarterly and annual sales forecasts for a named account territory. Report on a weekly basis.
  • Be an active contributor to a positive, innovative, collaborative, and cooperative work environment.
  • Able to work independently and as a Team Player
  • Ensure that FINCAD CRM standards are maintained on all accounts.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2+ years Inside Sales experience with experience closing software license deals and proven ability to "WOW" customers.
  • University degree in finance, economics, computer science or mathematics
  • Previous experience in the finance industry and knowledge of financial derivatives
  • Successfully managed a sales target and sales forecasts.
  • Sales affinity, including curiosity, competitiveness, and win-win attitude.
  • An ability to demonstrate self-confidence, flexibility, initiative, perseverance, and integrity.
  • Knowledge of business organization structures, buying influences and purchasing processes.
  • You have excellent prospecting, account management and assertive results orientated focus on closing.
  • Professional and mature telephone manner.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, writing and organizational skills.
  • Have a sense of humour.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Computer Applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook is required.

Client Services Quantitative Analyst

What we will ask of you:

A key contributor to FINCAD's success in the marketplace has been the outstanding level of support provided to clients through product and subject matter expertise provided by Client Services.

As a key member of the Client Services Organization, the CS Quantitative Analyst will provide second-level technical support and knowledge to the Sales Organizations in both the Dublin and Vancouver offices. Specifically providing expert demonstration of FINCAD solutions and demonstrating how they match to business needs and technical issues of the client. The CS Quantitative Analyst will work very closely with FINCAD Sales and Support representatives and will be focused on both pre-sales and post sales support.

The CS Quantitative Analyst will work within the Client Services Group to build a world class sales organization through a combination of expert knowledge of customer situations, need and envisioned solutions, expertise of FINCAD's solutions, as well as specific domain knowledge related to Quantitative Finance. Specifically they will:

  • Provide quantitative pre-sales and post-sales support to FINCAD sales and support representatives for FINCAD products and services focusing on the new F3 suite - to enable the company to achieve its short term and long term revenue targets and product objectives.
  • Provide "quantitative demonstrations" of FINCAD F3 solutions that match confirmed customer needs. Design and develop a suite of example applications to best show the products capabilities and to highlight ease of integration.
  • Provide training on FINCAD products internally and to customers.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of product support is provided to assist the pre-sales process and help differentiate FINCAD F3 products and services from the competitors 'offerings.
  • Proactively identify business needs/issues that can be met by using FINCAD products. Work closely with sales and prospects to understand their technical solution and leverage necessary FINCAD technical resources to bring maximum value to the relationship.
  • Ensuring communication back to Product Management of client needs and requirements along with suitability of the product roadmaps to meet ongoing client demands.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and successful sales cycles through a consistently high level of product and technical assistance.
  • Document conversations and activities with all contacts in the FINCAD's CRM database.
  • Clearly document all bugs and deficiencies within the FINCAD Support system and participate in their timely resolution.
  • Work closely with colleagues to transition new clients from the pre-sales support phase to the post-sales support phase.
  • Continually learn about FINCAD clients, industry and the financial instruments that are in the marketplace.
  • Travel to and from the Dublin and Vancouver offices and customer sites is required

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Doctorate degree (PhD) in a quantitative or mathematical discipline.
  • Experience in Quantitative Finance and proficient in the concepts of the financial derivatives market and valuations.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information over the phone or via email.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment; work well in pressure situations.
  • Detail oriented with good planning and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent OO based programming skills with knowledge of VB, C and C++ an advantage.
  • Excellent Excel and Matlab skills required.
  • Ideally, excellent knowledge of the Software development life cycle.
  • Quick learner with commitment to acquire a high level of domain knowledge in Financial Instrument valuations through self and assisted studies.
  • Strong sales orientation including hardworking, adaptable, desire to succeed, tenacity and extra efforts to proved value of FINCAD solutions to meet client needs.
  • Able to work independently and as a Team Player
